ATTENDANCE POLICIES
ILLNESS: All children are required to attend all scheduled classes. Because each week builds on the previous week's lesson, it is extremely important for your child to maintain a good attendance record.
If it is necessary for a student to be absent from class, a parent/guardian must notify the office at 201-567-4781 before class, or during session times at 201-541-1286
OCCASIONAL &
PROLONGED ABSENCE
In the event of a occasional or prolonged absence, parents/guardians are responsible to see that their child makes up all missed work and assignments. Continued unexcused absenteeism means that further advancement, and/or participation in sacramental programs is seriously jeopardized and the child cannot return to the program without a parent conference.
TARDINESS: All students are expected to be in their classrooms by the start of their session. Repeated tardiness will require a parent conference.
EARLY DISMISSAL: No student may leave the school before the regular dismissal time unless excused by the director or Assistant. This must be accomplished by sending in a note from the parent/guardian stating the reason for the need of an early dismissal.
Appointments made during session times do interfere with your child's religious studies. We therefore request that you consult the calendar and try to arrange all dental, medical and other appointments on days when your child is not attending religion classes.
