Fifth Grade
5th Grade- Mrs. Ryan Summer Reading 2010Dear Fifth Grade Students and Parents,
I am looking forward to September already! I cannot wait to teach you.Over the summer, you can prepare for Fifth Grade by improving accuracy and speed in Math, especially multiplication and division. You can use MathScore and other websites for practice and fun. For summer reading, I would like you to read The BFG by Roald Dahl. We will begin a unit on this engaging fantasy book as soon as we are in school. Please have a copy in school the first day . We will begin the school year discussing the book and engaging in several activities related to it that will be graded. Make sure that you have read the book. You may want to take some notes after each chapter.
In addition, read all summer long. Reading is one of my favorite activities . You are the best reviewer to recommend books to another Fifth Grader.I hope you enjoy your summer vacation. If you need to contact me, you can contact me at butmommy15@gmail.com
Have a great summer!
Fondly,
Mrs. Ryan
