Fourth Grade
mrskathleenmays@aol.comJune 16, 2010
Dear Students and Parents,
In September you will be fourth grade students. I can't wait to be your teacher. Over the summer, I would like you to practice your multiplication facts. I would encourage you to use the program you acquired from the school-Math Score. For summer reading I would like everyone to read Charlotte's Web. Please have a copy of the book in school on the first day. It may be your own copy or a library book. We will begin the school year discussing the book and doing several activities related to the novel. Make sure that you have read the entire book so you will be able to participate and complete the activities. Some of the activities will be graded. Read as many books as possible. Reading opens our minds and imaginations! I hope that you enjoy your summer vacation. Please feel free to contact me using my email address: MrsKathleenMays@aol.com. I will be away from home and a computer for two weeks in July and two weeks in August. I will respond to all questions in a timely manner. Have fun and be safe.
With warm regards,Mrs. Mays
